Around 98% of garage floors require little or no surface preparation. Our standard surface prep is included in your price which ensures your garage floor is prepared in accordance with the "Best Practice Guidelines for the New Zealand Flooring Industry - 2019". If your concrete surface is porous or uneven it will likely require some additional preparation at a small cost to ensure the surface is smooth enough for the carpet to be laid.

We work closely with Throw n' Towwho make rubbish removal easy. They offer a trailer mounted skip bin, delivered in front of your garage for 2 days. This makes de-cluttering your garage a breeze and ensures you're all ready to book your garage carpet. If you need assistance with sorting your rubbish they can do this too for an additional cost. If you're interested in this service just let us know and we can arrange it all for you.

To get the best result, it’s important you wait 48 hours before driving your car on to the carpet to allow the glue to set. You may notice some indentations from car tyres (just as you see in household carpet from furniture). However, by waiting 48 hours you are giving the glue time to fully set without the carpet fibres being compressed by the car tyres. You'll be able to brush out indentations at anytime. During this time we recommend ventilating your garage as much as possible to allow the vapour to dissipate.
A quick vacuum is all that is required for standard cleaning maintenance. Stains such as oil should be cleaned with warm household dish detergent and a soft brush.
Majority of garages are designed so that vehicles can be driven or reversed in, without the need to turn the car wheels. In these instances, you will only get indentations in the area of the carpet where the wheels have been. These indentations can be brushed out at any time using a blunt object. We do not recommend turning your steering wheel while the vehicle is stationary on the garage carpet as this can cause the carpet to lift & wear in this area.
No, unfortunately, no grade of garage carpet or adhesive will withstand turning the car wheels while the car is stationary on the carpet. It is important to note that our warranty does not cover any damages caused by this. It is simply too much load on a small area of carpet. We highly recommend that the car is moving at all times when manoeuvring the car in & out of the garage.

We deal with flooded garages reasonably often throughout NZ. Everyone is different; some people are keen to replace their carpets right away and claim through insurance, some dry it off to see how it goes and make a decision later. Usually once something has been water damaged it is never quite the same however it really is a case by case basis.
